The Scoop

Well, it’s official.

I’m moving.

Finally.

We put in for an apartment last week and last night we picked up the keys and started bringing stuff in.

In short, Bill finally realized that yes, there is actually something wrong with *him*….and he started taking medication a while ago to balance himself out. It’s actually working pretty well, too…..he and I and Brittany do a lot of running around, day trips and such…..we even went to Canada for a week to take Brittany to see Niagara Falls, which was pretty cool. So he’s better. Still no job, but he is looking in earnest and that is a definite improvement from a year ago…..and he says he’s realized how important Brittany and I are to him.

This is most definitely not a decision I made lightly….I am also prepared to admit that I may be making a mistake. But I’ve come to the conclusion that there are very few things in my life that are permanent…..and it’s only a 12 month lease.

So, I spent the night tonight packing up my stuff and Brittany’s stuff to start bringing it to the apartment tomorrow. Overall, we really don’t have very much to bring with us…..the only things I still want from my house are my dining room table, my leather wing back chair and my dresser. I got everything off my computer that’s there, but since I’m not going to steal my dad’s laptop, I’m going to bring that with me, too. All of my clothes and Brittany’s clothes and toys and videos, etc. are all here at my parents house…..and to start with, I am bringing the bed we use here. Bill bought an airbed to use at the apartment since he’s staying there already, but the way my back is I’m not about to try sleeping on that damn thing and getting up for work…….so this bed (the bunk/futon bed) is going with me. It’s just going right into Brittany’s room and I’ll sleep on the futon part until we can get a bed for our room….shouldn’t take too long, I’m going to try to do that with my next pay. We are also bringing the dresser that Brittany and I use here…..I’ll probably put this one in our room because it’s huge and Brittany can use my dresser from the house.

I am really exhausted right now though…..I’ve got a cup of tea and am ready for sleep…..and I have a lot of bags and boxes to lug around tomorrow……..and I have to spend two hours sitting around the apartment tomorrow waiting for the cable guy to come…..at least he brought the xbox up already so we have something to do while we wait…….
