Star trekkin’ across the universe…

I am such a huuuuuuge geek 🙂
Bill was laughing hysterically (over AIM) about the new PriceLine commercial and he told me about it. Feeling slightly jilted – and being the Star Trek Geek that I am – I resolved to watch as much TV as I have to until I see this commercial.
Then, while reading something Heather wrote in which she linked to a movie on IMDB, I noticed there at the top of the screen was an ad for the latest PriceLine commercial!!!

01.28.04: Must be me….
….But I think if I wait for her to feed me, I’m going to starve :-

The River

I may have mentioned that it’s been a little chilly here for a while now….as I type this, it’s 13degrees (wind chill of 4) and for a change, I am actually a little cold sitting here. Miracle of miracles….I may have to turn up the thermostat a notch or two.
We are in for a pretty rough couple of days – or so they say…..
… The National Weather Service Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch Beginning Sunday Evening And Continuing Through Monday Into Tuesday Morning…Specifically The Watch Includes The Following Counties…In Pennsylvania… Berks… Bucks… Chester… Delaware… Lehigh… Montgomery… And Philadelphia……..Snow Is Expected To Begin Sunday Evening And Become Heavy At Times Sunday Night. A Changeover To Freezing Rain And Sleet From Philadelphia South And Eastward Is Forecast To Occur During The Day Monday. To The North And West Of Philadelphia… The Snow Could Continue Into Tuesday Morning. Snow Accumulations Of 5 To 9 Inches Are Possible From Philadelphia North And Westward. In Central And Southern New Jersey… Extreme Northeast Maryland And Northern Delaware… 4 To 7 Inches Are Possible.
Bearing that in mind, we decided to get out for a bit this afternoon…..Brittany and my nephew wanted to go to the playground but I really didn’t want to be hanging around the playground with nothing to block the wind and with my mom still being pretty sore from earlier this week, we decided to just go for a ride. It was about 19 degrees when we headed out and we wound up at the riverfront park in Bristol….throwing chunks of ice at the river 🙂

Blah….

I have just been so exhausted lately….I really think the weather has been takin’ it out of me. I don’t mind the cold…you know I don’t. But it’s been constant wind on top of the frigid temperatures and that walk across the park to and from work is just getting to be something I really dread. To make things even more interesting, it got up into the mid 30s over the weekend and melted the snow we had, then it dropped back down into the low 20 and not one idiot around here thinks hey, everything the melted the other frozae again….maybe I outta put out some more salt.
My mom was taken to the emergency room today. She had a biopsy of her uterus done last week and when they did it, it hurt her so badly she got all tensed up and everyone seems to think that she wound up getting so tensed that she pinched a nerve. Yesterday, she couldn’t move but because her moron doctor wouldn’t give the go ahead then she had to wait till today to go to the ER. This morning, she couldn’t sit, she couldn’t stand up, she couldn’t do anything but try to lay perfectly still…..she couldn’t even sit in the car to try to get over to the hospital, my dad had to call an ambulance to get her. So they gave her a shot of something and a percoset and let her stew for a while then took her in for x-rays which were like torture because the pain meds hadn’t kicked in…..when the x-ray showed nothing, they gave her another shot of something stronger and told her to walk it off. Glad we pay them the big bucks…..
There is actually a lot going on that I just don’t particularly feel like writing about….I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t want to share or I just don’t want to think about it. I think it’s more the latter, though.
Thought for the day: Sometimes, it’s nice to be noticed 🙂

It’s not ‘wine’ ;-)

I love this song!!

It’s freakin’ cold out and it just started flurry-ing about a half hour ago…..should make for an interesting morning. I’m not really concerned about the snow itself but if there is enough for the city to close the schools, then Brittany’s school is closed, too. And since Bill is up the mountains, that means that in addition to my usual commute, I’m going to have to take Brittany to my parents house and then drive all the way the hell down from there….blah :-p
And yeah, I know I haven’t been around lately…..I’m tired and achy and have a lot on my mind. It’ll pass…..

:-(

Man!!

Ugh….!

Have you ever just been so bored that you didn’t even want to be bothered trying to think of anything to do?
Today is one of those days…..Brittany and I went out this morning to do some light grocery shopping to get us through the week. When we got home, we sat around and played another of her new games for a bit but now she wants to watch a Bob the Builder tape and play in her room and I just don’t feel like doing a damn thing…..
Gahhh….

Always said he was a fruit…

My Dominic…..I wonder if he’s calculating how many ways there are to skin a kid…..then again….I’m the one who left it on him so I could take a picture and share it with the world, so he’s probably not all that happy with me, either….
Either way, it’s a cute ad for FruitTops 🙂

2004 :-)

Happy New Year!!
Since I was able to get out of work at noon yesterday, I picked Brittany up and came up to the mountains…..I was hoping to spend the morning watching the Mummers Parade but I can’t seem to find it on the TV anywhere :-
Ah, well…..
